In the race against time to reach Net-Zero, Hitachi Rail partnered with Turntide’s Hyperdrive Battery Solutions to tackle carbon emissions in the UK. Around 58% of the entire 20,000-mile rail network in the UK is not electrified and the UK Government has set ambitious decarbonization goals.

George’s session will explore how electrifying passenger trains is accelerating the shift to a net-zero carbon economy while supporting cost-efficient and sustainable new train delivery options for non-electrified routes.
