Communicate openly and honestly
In early 2019, I made a very tough decision: to leave a very comfortable position and a very well-established company to do something I had never considered before by working for a startup. To do the hard thing, to help build something new, to stretch myself far outside of my comfort zone.
From the very first day, I knew that very little of my past experience would translate to managing a high-performing team and creating sales and support processes. It’s hard and often exhausting, but it’s easily been the most rewarding experience of my professional life.
At Turntide, I create stuff. I tear it down. I rebuild it better. Every single day. I work in a sandbox where every idea has the potential to change our business landscape.
I am expected to speak my mind and make sure that my team and my leaders aren’t going in the wrong direction. And I expect the same out of them. We communicate with each other openly and honestly about what is good and what isn’t, and we come from a “good place” when we do it.
We look to solve the underlying problems, not just the symptomatic issues that occur every day.
Everyone that works here is a major contributor to our success, and our success means a greener and safer planet for our children. I could not be prouder to be a part of the Turntide team and look forward to what we can build in the future!
