Turntide Announces a New Office & Centre of Excellence in India

Turntide Technologies continues to commit to the Indian market. To satisfy local demand, the Turntide Technologies division in India has inaugurated a new facility in Pune. India is one of the largest and most strategic auto and electrification global markets.  

Turntide’s India division is set to supply locally Gen 4 and Gen 6 low-voltage inverters, specifically designed for 48-volt and 96-volt architectures, which are ideal for two-, three-, and four-wheel lightweight mobility applications. These advanced inverters convert battery power into efficient motor drive, offering high power density and compact size to fit the unique requirements of Indian vehicles.  

EV Milestones 

India’s electric vehicle (EV) industry also achieved a milestone in October 2025 with record sales of 234,000 units, a 7% year-on-year increase. The growth, driven by electric two- and three-wheelers, underscores the country’s shift towards sustainable transportation.  

According to the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), two- and three-wheel vehicles are especially vital in India, representing the majority of daily transportation for millions and supporting both passenger and cargo needs. Electrification in these segments reduces operating costs—three-wheeler EVs cost just INR 1.28 per kilometer compared to INR 3.21 for gasoline (numbers from CEEW)—but also improves air quality and lowers noise pollution, making them crucial for sustainable urban mobility.
