Inside EPowerLabs Tech Day 2026
More than 60 professionals recently gathered at the MUBIL center in Spain for the EPowerLabs Tech Day. The event was filled with technical discussions, testing demonstrations, and, perhaps most importantly, real-life examples of electrification success.
The attendees represented organizations from around the world, including prominent original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), Tier 1 suppliers, and many manufacturers and engineering firms. That mix brought perspectives from buyers and suppliers as well end users on how electrification and hybrid components are selected, evaluated, and deployed in the field.
From NVH Testing to Real-World Integration
The agenda covered a range of technical topics, starting with noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) testing. One of the most interesting sessions was a panel on the real-life challenges of integrating components, with perspectives from McLaren, Horse Powertrain, NX, and Schaeffler.

These are four very different companies with four different approaches to product selection, validation, and integration. In some cases, cost is not the issue; speed is. In others, flexibility within a product portfolio and the agility to respond quickly make the difference.
Integration Is Top of Mind for OEMs & Tier 1 Suppliers
Much time was spent discussing the importance of component integration during networking and presentations. OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers alike want integration to be top of mind.
Hearing how organizations are willing to roll up their sleeves and collaborate for the good of the end user was encouraging. Working together advances electrification, hybrid systems, and sustainability faster and more efficiently than any one company could on its own.
Turntide Keynote: Axial Flux Motors & Hybrid Applications
In the Turntide keynote, the presentation focused on axial flux motors and the hybrid Axial flux motors, inverters, and other electrification components are designed to work together, which makes integration easier, within the company’s portfolio and with external partners. Integration and partnering simplifies analysis and decision-making for OEMs and helps them get to market faster.

This also opened the conversation beyond automotive applications to a wider set of mobility applications, including construction, agriculture, rail, and marine. Integration and partnerships accelerate the adoption of this technology across the industry.
A Look Inside the MUBIL Facility
The day also included a tour of the MUBIL facility and an inside look at the work EPowerLabs does for customers around the world. That work includes battery testing, end-of-line testing, motor and inverter pairing, and performance validation across a variety of use cases not just automotive.
Looking Ahead
Events like this are a reminder that electrification moves fastest when the people selecting, testing, and deploying components share what they’ve learned. Thank you to EPowerLabs for hosting a day that brought those perspectives together and to everyone who joined the conversation.
