3 Top Takeaways from CES 2025
Among mobility, 3 top takeaways from CES 2025 included autonomy, personal aircraft, and electric RVs. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is one of the most dynamic trade shows in North America. It highlights the innovation and technology trends addressing global challenges and shaping the future.
According to a January 10 press release, the show welcomed over 141,000 attendees from around the globe. With more than 4,500 exhibitors, including 1,400 startups, and more than 6,000 media.
“From groundbreaking innovations that improve lives to transformative ideas that redefine industries, CES is a celebration of the art of the possible, showcasing how technology enriches our world and inspires a brighter future for all,” said Kinsey Fabrizio, President, CTA. “The evolution of CES has surged at this year’s show, where creativity, connectivity, and innovation inspire with visionary keynotes, thought-provoking conference sessions, and mind-blowing exhibits.”
One main trend at CES 2025 was mobility, which is our wheelhouse. The press release stated that mobility innovation spanned construction, agriculture, marine tech, and advanced air travel. The Mobility Stage made its debut, exploring the future of mobility tech. Topics included AI, connected vehicles, software, and supply chain.
Spencer Clark, account manager for Turntide Technologies, was wowed by the immense diversity and technology at CES. He had 3 top takeaways.
Autonomy
According to Clark, autonomy was a top trend. Lots of autonomous technology, such as people movers, were everywhere. Almost every autonomous example was electric. The CES team agreed. The press release stated that self-driving and electric technologies enhanced planes and boats, and the EV market growth brought new models from global OEMs to the show. Automation in construction and industry enhanced safety and addressed workforce gaps in labor-intensive roles.
Personal Aircraft
Personal aircraft were on prominent display. IoT World discussed this trend. “The flying car from XPeng Aeroht in China drew massive crowds at CES as the company showcased the flying component of the dual-purpose vehicle.
In addition, Honeywell teamed with NXP Semiconductors to speed aviation product development on the path to autonomous flying, with one flying vehicle company already coming on board.
Electric RVs
Another popular exhibit was around electric RVs, according to Clark. New Atlas was also a fan of electric RVs, particularly AC Futures AI Transformer Home, Drivable (AI-THd).
“The AI-THd combines the driving footprint of a camper van with the living space of a much larger luxury Class A motorhome,” an article from New Atlas reported.
MSN and Cheddar featured electric RVs, too. Check out this video from Cheddar showing the operation of an electric RV.
